The technical teams from both countries conducted joint spectrum measurements on both the South African and Zimbabwean sides of the Beitbridge border. The measurements assist in identifying potential sources of interference and spectrum use along the border region.

The meeting follows the signing of the MoU signed between ICASA and POTRAZ on 29 June 2023, which focuses on collaboration in the areas of radio frequency spectrum management and the mitigation of cross-border signal spillage.

ICASA is currently hosting a three-day cross-border technical committee meeting with the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) and the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo.
