ICAR-NIPB organized the inauguration of a Capacity Building Program on "Harnessing Crop Wild Relatives for Breeding Future Crops" under a collaborative initiative between ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology, Delhi, and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT

The 2nd Prof. V.L. Chopra Foundation Day Lecture was delivered by Prof. V. K. Dadhwal (Indira Gandhi Chair Professor of Environmental Sciences, NIAS) on “A View from Far: Remote Sensing of Crops and Forests for the Insights on Structure, Functioning, and Dynamics” on 15th Jan.

NIPB celebrated its Foundation Day on 15th Jan. Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE), and DG, ICAR, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Drs. T. R. Sharma, DDG (CS), and D.K. Yadava, ADG (Seed), were present in the function as Special Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively.

NIPB is organizing a scintillating talk on 15th January 2025 by Prof. V. K. Dadhwal (Indira Gandhi Chair Professor Environmental Sciences), IIAS, Bengaluru, on "A View from Far: Remote Sensing of Crops and Forests for the Insights on Structure, Functioning and Dynamic."

Under the Swachhta Pakhwada program of the ICAR-NIPB, a campaign was organized in Todapur village, New Delhi, on December 28th. The team and other NIPB staff shared information on government schemes for waste management with residents.

A team from NIPB visited Todapur and discussed water-related issues, cleanliness, drainage, etc. The team explained rainwater harvesting for various purposes and the installation of a proper drainage system to maintain hygiene and prevent waterlogging in village roads and areas.

A signature campaign was organized today under Swachhta Pakhwada for awareness at the local level involving farm women and village youth on cleanliness and hygiene. By signing the pledge, participants demonstrated their dedication to fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.
