この絵の主役、人物ではないのが明らかですよね。画像はCharles Hoffbauer の「In the Restaurant」 (1907) です。お高そうなレストランで紳士にエスコートされる女性。しかし彼女の顔はぼんやり。一方彼女の着る銀のドレスはと言うと目も覚めるような鮮やかさで描かれています。胸の薔薇も美しいです

It is decorated and furnished in the very latest style for the time and many of the features, such as the fitted bathroom and the double sink in the kitchen, were very modern.
