Hanukkah is a time to reflect on resilience, faith, and the power of light. Wishing the Jewish community in Mississauga–Erin Mills and across Canada a warm and meaningful Hanukkah.

On my last day in Jordan, we met families receiving humanitarian aid. I met a three-year-old orphan living without his family and cared for by neighbours, collecting winter supplies. I couldn’t take his picture, but the look in his eyes will stay with me. This is the human cost.

On CBC Metro Morning with David Common, I spoke about why our delegation travelled, what happened at the border, and why it’s essential to defend transparency, accountability, and human rights.

We came to listen. We were denied entry. That has not stopped our work. We are continuing to meet with refugees and humanitarian organizations and will bring their stories home with us.
