Got to be a part of the amazing team that worked on Mel's gameplay! Played her both mid and support throughout development and will do my best to answer what questions I can about her spells/strengths/weaknesses/etc. She's super fun :D.

If you had to choose one, would you prefer your abilities to cast at max range if you click outside max range (Syndra Q, Ziggs Q) or have your character walk to be in range of where you clicked and then cast (Zyra Q, Cassio Q)?.

@Spideraxe30 Honestly item wise theres nothing that bizzare imo, maybe some people will experiment with Nashors/Lich or a Rylais build. My personal tech is turning on the "Clamp spells at max range" setting to get max range Q flicks.

@ApathinaVT Similar to other mage supports like Zyra/Xerath/Neeko. She definitely does tend to steal more kills than those, although she can carry from support with that gold sometimes.

@Doublelift1 Heyo this was a bug that happened when we were trying to fix it not blocking monster auto attacks. It is definitely not intended to block turret shots 😅.

@LSXYZ9 @RiotAuberaun Definitely think a toggle could work, I personally wish I could set it for individual spells (essentially per-champ settings). For example I want to max range cast Zyra Q, but not her W so I can use to bush check. But overall I'm also in the camp of max range for most spells.

@Le1378249 It definitely will kill steal a lot, but its controllable since she doesnt really have damage over time spells besides E. If you choose to stop hitting the low HP target your ADC will be able to get the kill. She is better at bursting/all-in level 2, but Q+passive AA is good poke.

to clarify @thebausffs strat is NOT getting nerfed with the homeguard changes:.the enhanced homeguard you get after dying ("Deathguard") is not being removed and is actually stronger to keep the delta between dying and recalling similar to what it is on live, given new homeguards

@FableLoL no it blocks all spells for the duration, and yes she will get pulled towards whatever gets hooked.

@Spideraxe30 I will be watching shapeshift clears with great interest :D I suspect she kills the camps okay with the execute/AAs but her early game damage is relatively low imo so I'd be surprised if shes good without explicit mods for jg.

New Janna list for 12.2 heading to PBE!.-Empowering your shield with CC was missed, so we're retaining a version of it. -Janna players didn't seem to care about damage in Q, so we cut the damage buff to add power elsewhere.-Added a couple QoL changes

@guzubu @ultraviolensx not going to explain every interaction since theres quite a few spells in our game, and I think theres some enjoyment from players discovering those types of things rather than me posting a spreadsheet of all the interactions haha.

@ZenitsuHater it does a % of the original damage as magic damage, and that percent scales with spell rank and Mel's AP. So if the spell would do 100 damage to Mel (before resists) and her rank 1 W is 40% reflected damage: It will do 40 magic damage (before MR) after being reflected.

@dunnige_ Tanks with engage spells you can reflect are likely her best matchups since she can outrange and poke heavily. She can threaten squishies but its not always easy to hit your spells against range/high MS enchanters.

Been working with Phlox to get a small but hopefully enjoyable list out for Zyra players! .Hoping to make her feel a bit more responsive/modern and make it so your plants aren't killed as often by AoE spells not aimed at them.
Hey all, been working on preseason but found a bit of time to do some small Zyra QoL . The goal here was to smooth out some of her rough edges and make incidental damage a little less brutal for plants. Also a bonus clearspeed buff for the rare Zyra jungle players

@step1v9 appreciate the context and trying to mitigate harassment 💚Definitely hear you, particularly around steelcaps impact on lane matchups early. Even with the price increase its received (used to be 1.1k 12%, then 1k 8%, now 1.2k 12%), it still stuffs matchups like trynd.

I played my first Janna game of the season and was nonstop harassed by 2 people for being an "egirl" and when I called them misogynistic they harassed me further and defended calling me "egirl and "vagina." I can't imagine how hard it is to actually be a girl playing league.

@vitor_rmendes It predicts movement at the moment it is reflected, so it can be "juked" but requires some pretty specific timing depending on the reflected spell. If you keep running the same direction as you were, you will get hit.
