I’ll miss competitive hoops until November. What I won’t miss is the disrespectful parents who berate the refs and the players of the other team, or the unprofessional coaches who trash talk teenagers. This summer, I’ve witnessed too many altercations. Adults have to do better.

Old Gold 17U defeated the SEBA FCI Warriors in the first game of the AAU Super Showcase in Orlando tonight.

Old Gold 17U outlasts JSBA in Double OT in the National AAU Super Showcase to finish 2-1 in pool play, with a chance to finish 1st. In the 14U bracket, Old Gold finished 2nd, by going 2-1 in O-Town. Both teams are representing the program well on a national stage.

@BrandonBenderB5 we are in Vegas right now. My team has played a team from California, Washington state, and later a team from Hawaii. Some of my kids may not play at the next level, but if you don’t understand the significance of this experience, then I can’t explain it.
