Yesterday, the European Commission (EC) presented a recommendation for a 90% net greenhouse gas emissions reduction within the EU by 2040. The 90% emissions reduction target would require 100Mtoe of green hydrogen in 2040 and a further 37Mtoe of e-fuels.
