Congratulations to Team Switcharoo! At the 2025 RESNA Conference in Chicago this Spring, one of our HuskyADAPT design teams presented a Switch-Accessible Tablet App they’ve been developing over the past year, winning 2nd place in the Student Design Competition.

We recently hosted a successful Fix-It Event through our Yellow Toy Club and fully adapted a grand total of 12 toys! We had a great time collaborating with everyone’s teams and hope to see everyone at more Yellow Toy Club and toy adaptation events in the future!

Want to showcase your toy adaptation skills in a collaborative challenge? HuskyADAPT is hosting a Fix-It workshop on April 30th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on the UW campus. No adapting experience is needed — anyone is welcome to join!

Recently, we hosted our kickoff toy adaptation workshop for spring quarter! We had an amazing group of 26 attendees who adapted some really exciting toys including a crawling crab bubble machine and lots of light sabers ready for dueling!

Thank you to everyone who attended our community meeting and switch building workshop last quarter! We had a great time updating everyone about our on-going club activities.We were also able to build several low cost paddle switches during our switch build workshop!

A few weeks ago, Microsoft hosted a tour of their Advanced Prototyping Center and Inclusive Technology Lab for the HuskyADAPT Design Teams! We had a great time at the tour and want to thank the Microsoft Team for showing us around and sharing their knowledge!

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like a toy adaptation workshop! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our February 14th event. Attendees successfully adapted 7 toys including some fun ones like a UFO bubble machine and a light saber! We can’t wait to see you next time!
