The sentiment is always like they are mad at the pro players for not being replaced more often. I understand you want variety, but I saw A LOT of players replaced over the years. Remember that a large part of the world didn't even have access to the game??.

Reading the comments on the Jarcor quitting Smite thread makes it very clear why Smite is approaching true death. Nothing correlates more with the death of the game than the killing of Esports. The tone of everything post SPL death has made that very clear.

Just dropped an 11 hour work day. I remember @Varizial1 calling me lazy even among pro gamer standards. By my calculations, all smite pros should be extremely high ambition super success stories pretty soon here.

I don't care about Smite 2 anymore. I know good people are still at that company. I wish them all the absolute best. That being said, I'm completely over it. This is a giant stain you cannot erase. I can't support a company that treats my friends this way after all they did.
