Duke Energy has a planned outage on Thursday, 12/07/23 at 12 a.m. that will affect several ElectriCities customers in Huntersville. Affected areas include Rosedale, Vermillion, Northstone, Gilead, Huntersville-Concord, and Sam Furr Road. It's expected to last three hours.

There is a scheduled outage for customers in the Walden Subdivision tomorrow, Tuesday, September 19, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. for a transformer change out. Approximately 200 customers will be affected. We anticipate the outage to take three to four hours.

The warm weather brought out the squirrels to frolic and play. Unfortunately, one of them decided to investigate some high-voltage equipment. This squirrel is what caused the unscheduled power outage today. He will not cause another one!
