Me looking at next week's calendar: Why is there so much white space? - Did I miss something? - Did I forget to schedule important meetings? - Am I waiting for all the last-minute meetings to hit this afternoon?

Quippy two-line influencer social posts are great. They're highly engaging and easy to consume, but that's where the value stops. We should all look for better answers - HOW to do the thing, WHY you should do the thing, WHAT are the benefits of doing the thing.

Reminder - Your employees are probably already playing with generative AI tools. They need guidelines, education, policies to help guide their exploration, ESPECIALLY if you're in a highly regulated industry and not ready for full adoption.

Implementing generative AI without a plan, approval, or custom-fit approach, can erode team trust, create legal or regulatory issues, and quickly derail business growth. Want a smarter approach? Book a free 20-minute exploratory call

To all the poorly targeted cold pitches in my inbox, No, I don't have time for a "quick call." Reduce your ask and target your pitch (maybe visit my website or LI profile as a resource), then I'll listen.

Just me, or has Twitter spam bot whack-a-mole increased 5x over the last couple of weeks?

Still amazes me when a B2B SaaS company's website doesn't list features or benefits, maybe shows a peek of one or two UI snippets, and their only messaging is "Our product is the BEST, trust us!" <sign up for a demo> Y'all. How are they still in business?

I'm seeing a surge in micro-community building right now, and I'm 100% here for it. We all need help and support from the right people at the right time.

My friend refers to days like today as "Muesday" as in "This is the Monday-est Tuesday that ever existed" and I can definitely get behind that.

Spending an hour on a holiday removing my information from B2B lead data brokers is (fingers crossed) time well spent. I'm getting SO MANY bad cold pitches.

There's a difference between being a contrarian to strike up a discussion and just being an asshole. They are not the same.

Underrated marketing skill - uncovering the right problem to solve. Is it that you don't have the data you need, or are you not translating it correctly for your audience? Do you not have enough customers, or do you not have enough of the right kind of customers?

To the bogus company that keeps spamming my inbox from some shady CEO Club begging for thousands of dollars... I found the time today. I filtered your domain, reported all of your emails as spam, and reported your domain to your host for abusive tactics. Have a day.

Embrace the fact that your message needs time and repetition to make an impact. Don't underestimate the power of being persistent and consistent in your communication. It will help you get your message across to the people who need to hear it the most. 🚀

And you may feel like you're talking to yourself, but your audience isn't always listening at the exact moment you speak. The key is to keep going, even if you don't reach everyone every time (because you probably won't) 🎙️

Remember the old saying that prospects need to hear your message 5-7 times? Channels are so noisy it's more like 15-20 times if we're being realistic. 🗣️ When you're tired of talking, and feel like you're being annoying, that's when it just starts to sink in for others.💡

Whether you're building a brand or promoting a product, you should absolutely embrace being a "broken record." Keep talking about your special thing - That unique feature or offer that sets you apart from competitors, delights your customers, and builds your reputation.

I think I'm physically incapable of writing a blog post of less than 1000 words. Filed under: Good/bad problems.

I was asked for a business card this weekend and was like, "Uh...do those things still exist?" Literally didn't have one on me when pre-2020 I wouldn't have been caught dead without at least three on my person.
