🟦 They’re big, they’re blue, and they’re a key bit of kit for the farm. Every week we fill hundreds of these giant Eskys with fresh barra and ice for delivery all over Australia. Then all the bins are returned to be reused again and again.

🥺 These baby Rakali were found by Chloe while moving pipes around the farm. The nest seemed abandoned so these little ones were taken to a carer to look after them.

🦜🦋 In the wet season local beauty spot McMinns Lagoon is lush and teaming with wildlife. The reserve around it contains over 41 hectares of unspoilt wetland, protecting one of the largest varieties of flora and fauna in the Northern Territory. 📷@yinuonz

Due to its inflammatory nature many nutritionists say you should consume Omega-6 in moderation. A ratio of less than 4:1 is recommended. Barra blows that out the water – it’s incredibly low in Omega 6 and relatively high in Omega 3 with an amazing 1:1 ratio!

You’re looking at Barrastrami, fried bread and horseradish by @hazel_melbourne in Flinders Lane. This unique take on pastrami uses similar techniques but with Humpty Doo Barra in place of brisket for a delightfully different taste and texture.

This is a Whistling Kite, named after the loud call it often makes in flight. They’re a medium size hawk, smaller than Wedgies and very common around the top end. They love the farm because they can score a free feed from any leftover fish feed.

🐊📸 One of our colourful local characters showing off for the cameras. You can’t really appreciate the power of these creatures until you’ve seen them hurling their entire body out of the water like a rocket. Bear in mind this guy is over 7m long and weighs over 1,000kg!
