Year 1 finished their DigiDuck learning with a poster about DigiDuck's rules for staying safe online. They had to choose which statements they wanted to add to their poster, cut them out and stick them onto their poster design. @childnet #digiduckrules

Our Year 5 and 6 children were lucky enough to experience watching The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre. They loved the storyline and how the cast brought the production to life @lyceumsheffield

As part of their curriculum learning, our Year 1 children recently visited Bolsover Castle. They explored the castle walls, the rooms of the old castle and learnt what life living in a castle would have been like for people of those times. The children loved dressing up too!

Our Year 6 children recently spent a day exploring @edencamp as part of their curriculum topic of World War 2. They got an inside feeling of how life was for people during that awful era and came away with so much.

Year 5 had a go at been photo editors after learning about editing images and pictures as part of our Online Safety learning. We discussed how sometimes an image might look as though it hasn't been altered but it could have been altered as many as 50 times before being shared.

As part of our Black History Month Learning, we have been looking at the life of WW1 soldier and footballer Walter Tull. In Literacy, after answering questions about his time playing for Tottenham, we wrote a short diary based on a time he received racial abuse @MichaelamorganM

Year 6 have been doing football as part of their PE learning, in this session we learnt a skill of pass and move and then made the challenge harder by adding defenders into the mix to close down those passes. We feel we have some future Lions and Lionesses in our ranks!

Year 2 had a very special visitor all the way from the Crimean War, The Lady with the Lamp, Florence Nightingale. The children learned about what life was like for soldiers in the Crimea and how Florence came in and paved the way for changes in cleanliness and medical practices

Y5 have been selected for the NASA recruits induction program! We can't wait to see the writing they produce about black women and the space race. @NASA

In Year 5 we have been looking at Online Safety and the adventures of Captain Kara and the SMART Crew. We created comic strips and posters based on the SMART Rules - Safe, Meeting, Accepting, Reliable & Tell. @childnet
