Sports Anchor/Reporter for CBS in Lexington Ky. I went pro in something other than sports, but I still get paid to talk about them! Christian.Husband.Father
This is a great comment from Nick Richards about his development.
"Just because I go to a school known for one and dones, doesn't mean I have to be one and done."
Pat Riley had high praise for Tyler Herro, and takes a shot at DUKE.
"It's not a coincidence anymore that we're drafting all the Kentucky players. Getting rid of the Duke concept."
John Calipari walking his dog along Richmond Rd this afternoon. Declines to give a comment to Kentucky fans.
"No, I don't, I'm walking my dog right now."
@WKYT
Didn’t Calipari’s biggest critics want a head coach who
1. Could do X’s and O’s
2. Run a modern offense
3. Cares more about winning than getting players to the NBA
4. Doesn’t talk down to the fan base
Well…
Who knows if Mark Pope can recruit at a high-level. He had certain
John Wall says he wants to build a relationship with the new UK coach.
“That’s the University I went to. I want them to continue to be good. I want to continue to support them and go to games.” -
@JohnWall
Listening to this interview from Jared Lorenzen in 2016 is heartbreaking. Please say a prayer for his family.
"Life's too short to cry about stuff. So get out there laugh, smile and have fun doing it."
I asked DeAndre after the game about this moment. He said he knows he’s running out of chances to play on this field and wants to take in every moment.

Tyler Ulis (
@tulis3
) returned to Lexington this week to host a skills camp.
The former
@KentuckyMBB
All-American hasn't walked in 5 months as he recovers from a serious car accident.
I think Phil Mickelson hitting the moving ball was great. He knew the penalty and was fine with taking it. We wouldn't be talking about him otherwise today, and no it doesn't disrespect the game. That's ridiculous.
#USOpen2018
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on playing with all the other UK guys at the
#NBAAllStar2024
game.
“It was cool. We’ve all gone through the same thing. Played for a crazy coach. Made it out of the jungle.” 😂-
@shaiglalex
I love when UK plays on CBS. They make the broadcast about the basketball game, without all the nonsense, coaches split screens, and American Idol in-game interviews!
"Love Lynn Bowden Jr., to go and do what he did this year, selfless and play quarterback and win football games. He really saved that Kentucky season. Pretty remarkable what Lynn Bowden Jr. accomplished." - Mel Kiper ESPN

Antonio Reeves wasn't sure if he would return to
@KentuckyMBB
this season. Now he's an All-American.
"It's so surprising to me, that this actually worked for me!" -
@ToniooReeves
I sat down with Antonio to talk about his journey.
UK offensive lineman
@Landon_Young_67
says he was never very good at basketball, but...
"Just put me on the (
@KentuckyMBB
) practice squad, I'll toughen them up!"
A really touching tribute tonight by the UK Basketball team for their teammate Terrence Clarke.
Hear
@lanceware12
@KeionB_12
and
@deemintz1
reflect on their memories of their friend.
I’ve never understood fans who cheer for their conference after their team loses?
This seems to only be a SEC thing. If I’m a Kentucky fan, there’s no way I’m pulling for Auburn “for the conference”
I can’t get over this
@KentuckyWBB
team. They could have easily quit a month ago after several injuries and suspensions.
Instead, they put together an unbelievable winning streak to beat No. 1 South Carolina and win the SEC Championship!
Reed Sheppard and his family were guest speakers tonight at the Central Kentucky FCA victory night.
I really enjoyed hearing them share their faith and family stories.
I'm not trying to convince any fan either way, but keep in mind that Duke and North Carolina recently hired head coaches with NO head coaching experience.
Kash Daniel showing his emotions following his final game in a Kentucky uniform.
"I don't want to go out any other way. To see champions up there means something special." -
@KashDaniel15
Today Bengals coach Zac Taylor talked about his relationship with UK offensive coordinator
@LiamCoen
and defensive coordinator
@CoachWhiteFB
"I think it's two of Rhode Island's finest Liam Coen and Brad White leading the charge over at UK."
Our journey with Kristen’s thyroid cancer will continue with another surgery on Monday. Thank you to all of you who have reached out or said a prayer. My wife is the strongest person I know, and we continue to lean on our faith during this season. 💪🏼 🙏
Former Kentucky Wildcats react to Mark Pope being named head coach.
"What have fans been dying for? Dying for tradition to be back, the tradition of Kentucky basketball."
@RexChapman
@DerekLAnderson
Richie Farmer, Sean Woods.
Reed Sheppard grew up cheering for
@KentuckyMBB
. Now he's a fan favorite for the Wildcats.
"I'm super blessed to be able to be in the situation I'm in." -
@reed_sheppard
I sat down with Reed to talk about his journey.
UK released this statement on Liam Coen:
On Sept. 10, 2023, at approximately 12:40 p.m., University of Kentucky assistant football coach Liam Coen had a medical episode while at work at UK’s football offices on campus. He is currently in good condition at UK Chandler Hospital
At the NFL Combine today
@JoshAllen41_
says he still believes he's the best player in the draft.
"If a team doesn't believe that, then I'll see them during the season."
Finebaum making the case for Nate Oats to Kentucky.
“Alabama is not Kentucky, and Kentucky is the gold standard. Alabama football and Kentucky basketball are essentially the same thing.”
I'm so proud of this
@KentuckyVB
team and
@UKCoachSkinner
. He's built this program from the ground up, and remains the most humble, selfless coach I know.
CBS handled the broadcast perfectly. Switching back and forth to Alabama-LSU during timeouts, while making sure we didn’t miss any of the Kentucky-Florida game.
Oscar is truly a man of the people. During warmups he spotted a guy in the stands holding an Oscar Tshiebwe sign, so he went into the stands to take a picture with him!
Coen "I came back here (to Kentucky) to be around people who care, and to be around a community that cares. The players, the staff, family, friends... it was eye opening in a lot of ways that you made the right decision to come back to a place that people do care about you.
