I feel like rolling your own auth being perceived as “too difficult” is probably the line that was crossed that differentiates between enshittification of software and not. It’s not difficult but if it’s difficult for you then it’s a good sign you can stand to understand more.

GameShark for n64 had such neat discovery capabilities. “I’m looking for a number that goes up, down etc” and it would continue filtering the entire memory. Great set of tools for such a product.

The situation is grim over in @facebook. Yeah, okay, there are scam ads here but they're typically supplements, ethots, and crypto. There? Diabolical. In the middle of marketplace you get ads for stores purporting to be wayfair etc. with just product images, no warning you're.
