Station 4 had an unusual visitor today - a parrot who flew into the bay while crews reloaded hose! After giving it water & crackers, they posted online. Soon, an HPD officer arrived calling "Pistachio!" The bird responded immediately to its name and Spanish commands. Reunited! 🦜

Chief Muñoz joined the District I Decontamination Unit for a Denver Harbor yard cleanup on Force Street today. Helping elderly neighbors maintain their homes hits close to home - Chief even planted a pink rose bush in honor of those who shaped his life. 🌹

PIO is en route to a fire near 12000 Moonmist in southwest Houston. Firefighters were dispatched at 3:30 pm for a home on fire. We arrived and began firefighting efforts. Around 4pm, we pulled out of the home to fight the fire defensively. No word on injuries so far.

HFD responded to 5910 Southwest Freeway at 11:56 p.m. Friday for a 2 alarm warehouse fire. The fire was fought from outside of the structure. The fire was under control by 5 a.m. No injuries or transported patients. HFD Arson Bureau is investigating. 📸: @GamedayOhJ
