Just after 11:30 this morning, HFD was dispatched to a warehouse fire on Schurmier in southwest Houston, near the Beltway and Mykawa. Within minutes, a second alarm was called, and firefighters exited the building to fight the fire defensively. 📸: DC Vogel

Firefighters are working to put out a large fire at a pallet company on Houston's south side. The smoke could be seen from the Sam Houston Tollway.

No injuries have been reported in the fire. Smoke from the flames could be seen from traffic cameras along the Sam Houston Tollway.
