After cutting Medicaid and shuttering rural hospitals, Republicans have now shut down the government, driving up health costs for nearly 30% of workers. Rural communities are once again paying for Republican dysfunction. https://t.co/8NRYl1CKXW

I’ll never stop fighting to keep care close to home. At our Sullivan County town hall this week, we talked about the fight to protect rural hospitals, lower utility bills, and make sure every Upstate family can get the care they need. https://t.co/TKtzZfaWxU

One week ago: Trump told farmers that China was coming back to buy soybeans. Today: He canceled the Xi meeting and is threatening massive new tariffs. Trump lied. Again. And farmers get crushed. Again. This isn't governing — it's arson. And the president is holding the match.

Treasury finalized the $20B Argentina deal yesterday — exactly as proposed. They heard farm country's concerns about bailing out a competitor stealing our soybean markets. Then they doubled down anyway. No changes. No second thoughts. Your feedback was noted. Just ignored.

Trump's tariffs are hurting Ohio farmers. "In a shocking development, China—which typically purchases between 25-30% of the total U.S. soybean crop—hasn’t bought any soybeans this year." https://t.co/idqxMLm8as

Not a single bushel sold to China this year as tariff wars devastate Ohio's agricultural economy, leaving farmers facing potential federal bailout

Rural America relies on the affordable health care tax credits that are expiring. Republicans don’t care.

.@SpeakerJohnson is refusing to swear in Rep-elect Grijalva during a pro forma session – but he swore in two Republican members in April using that exact procedure. Conveniently, she is the last signature needed to release the Epstein files... This is not normal. What do

Instead of governing like adults, Republicans brought us to a shutdown that leaves nearly 30% of farm workers who depend on ACA health insurance wondering if they'll be able to afford their insurance. Priorities, y'all. 🙄 https://t.co/kTRRVUm5Ew

Kansans are already working multiple jobs to make ends meet — just like my mom did. That’s why I’m fighting to lower grocery costs by cracking down on corporate price gouging that’s driving up prices.

For a 60-year-old couple with an income of $80,000, premiums would skyrocket by $17,500. Who has 22% of their income lying around? This is not normal. But Republicans are pretending like it is.

Republicans weren’t satisfied with closing rural health clinics and hospitals by making huge cuts to Medicaid in the Big Ugly Bill. Now, they shut down the government and made health insurance more expensive for nearly 30% of farm workers.

You don’t have the upper hand if you have to lie about what your opponents want. Trump Admin’s own website:

Grocery prices are up 30%, meaning more people are struggling to put food on their table. Instead of finding ways to support our neighbors, the Trump admin canceled 94 million lbs of food aid to food banks — 67 million eggs, 27 million lbs of chicken, 2 million gallons of milk.
New: ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the Trump administration’s cuts to an aid program.

The GOP isn’t fighting for rural communities and small businesses. Their shutdown will spike rural health care costs, and in Pennsylvania, many people will pay $750 more each month. Farmers are already struggling due to tariffs. Why are you making it worse?

After watching their market completely collapse, American soybean farmers turned on the news this week to watch Trump give $20 billion to one of their top competitors, Argentina. This is not what supporting American farmers looks like.

Eastern North Carolinians are voicing serious concerns about a 114% average increase in their healthcare premiums, which is set to take effect in 2026 unless Congress intervenes. Here’s what Ronita, a small business owner, said:
