What happens when you combine Emacs with gaming?. You get an environment in which any panel can display any visualization for any data type. And if it's not there, you just develop it right there, live. Coded support for multiple viewports as it draws 60fps :). #gamedev

Good thing there's a Star Trek: Enterprise episode about going through a time loop within an existing universe. Shows the phenomena within itself, because fractals. What's fascinating about science is; any idea is good. If it doesn't work out in practice, it will in a sci-fi :).

What if the universe ends up just this?. "We're on iteration 4 of the whole thing, and the 'time before the big bang' was really iteration number three". But remove frame numbers; it's always frame 0 and 1.

We expand theories following our own expansion. Could we formulate a theory expanding without us?. But then the problem of the origin of life remains. e.g. create sentient AI, remove every single trace of humanity from its environment and watch it discover both Gods and science.

You can always fool the psyche up to its awareness. But awareness expands with time, can the theories?.

Indicators a theory approximates reality with detail loss:.- Markov chains (loses intention threading).- Eigenvectors/values (hides a law of big numbers).- Claims that it *is* the law of reality or physics or w/e.

Play is the computer that's always responsive, even under heavy load. Funny how enjoying what you do makes it easier. When it gets easier, finding simplicity is simpler. When it gets simple, that reduces cognitive load.

Work vs Play:. work is "I have a beeg CPU, gotta use 100% of it".play is "ok the same thing runs at 1%; can have fun now". Play keeps most of its cycles free to enjoy the moment.

You don't open Pandora's box, you name what's inside. Same result.

A lot of neuroscience is about studying the brain gone wrong (brains gone wild sounded too immature heh). Where is the part studying the brain recovering this up?.It seems once it sees a broken down condition and names it, the box comes with its own weight to exist.

Software languages used to get chosen for their power. Now software languages are chosen for the constraints. But constraints too soon during evolution ends up worse.

adaptation benefits from both repetition and observation. repetition without observation is driving fast into a wall;.observation without repetition is never learning to drive.
