Stage for this was set when WVU BoG passed a resolution in support of the Athletic Department's financial plan "that positions the department in the top funding tier among Big 12 institutions, while simultaneously strengthening the U's paramount core academic mission."

WVU olympic sports coaches have to be thrilled. They now have a substantial increase in scholarship offerings.

So...140 new scholarships at a time when WVU Athletics is trying to raise $20.5 million in rev share brings the big question--how is WVU paying for this?

WVU football gets 16 additional scholarships, bringing total to 101. Roster limit its 105.
