My concern is more with what do these carts do when putting international copies into your switch. Currently you can put US or JP region game in an Oz Switch and it will play, but will it be region locked by eShop?.

This seems like 100% a publisher decision. Nintendo published seem to be on the cart (from what we understand atm). Capcom were notorious were putting half of the content on the cart during Switch and seems more publishers following suite with Switch 2.
Switch 2 game pre-orders have been up in Japan for a few hours, revealing all physical third-party games (so far—except Cyberpunk 2077) that are not "Nintendo Switch 2 Editions" to be shipping on game-key cards (requires internet to download the full game).

It's some hoops but honestly I'm all for it. Keeping it out of scalpers hands, and into the hands of gamers. Too many recent gaming and TCG releases ending up in the wrong hands.
Preordering a Switch 2 from the My Nintendo Store will require jumping through some hoops (also how to get the GameCube controller)

The price increase is not good but there's alot of misinformation out there.
RTing because 1 website assume it would be 90USD. It's not. I'm not happy about a second $10 jump for their games in 2 years, but just spreading that it's NOT $90.

Out of everything announced for the Switch 2, this was the most puzzling thing. Understand time and effort went into making but charging for a console tutorial/showcase is insane.
Nintendo making users pay for a Switch 2 system tour guide app while PlayStation gives PS5 users the amazing Astro's Playroom for free! 😭
