Realization for Bears fans is this wasn’t an overnight fix. A ton of talent and potential, but not ready to win a game like this tonight yet. Caleb’s still so escapable/smooth with it that if Ben J can’t eventually get this going I don’t who can. It takes time for real culture.

It helps to have an elite playcaller like KOC, an elite playmaker in JJ, and a run game tandem that works well together. But the dude stepped up and made every play and didn’t blink at it. Pretty good first test.

My bias since the start was I thought a redshirt year behind Darnold and full off-season was going to at least put him in the best position to learn that most high drafted QB’s don’t get. The physical tools as a runner were always there, and velocity to rip was undervalued

Interesting beginning for JJ McCarthy discourse. Didn’t have Darrisaw at LT or Addison, Vikings largely in an offensive rut for 3 quarters and he committed a cardinal sin. But in the 4th settled down and played some of the best ball possible and the offense had rhythm.

More surprised that Dallas didn’t get GB to kick in a future 3rd, 4th, or 5th as a sweetener. Two (likely) late to end of the 1st round picks doesn’t seem like that great of value, until account for Dallas not having to pay Parsons close to $50m per year.
