Chauvin was convicted because the precinct burned. Not a single other factor. Anyone who says anything otherwise is a spineless fucking liar. The precinct burned, and if it hadn’t, Chauvin would be free. They will not take that victory from us.
I’ve seen some people crediting Walz for Derek Chauvin’s conviction. And I feel like it’s an important time to remind people that a victory like that one, and others like it, only happen because movements of young people, activists, organizers, the community fought for it.
