This week in Science Club, our students made their own indicator solution, using red cabbage. They tested household solutions, then compared their results with universal indicator to determine the pH of the solutions. The lab was a little smelly but colourful! #holytrinitystars

Class 8 (Year 4) have had a fantastic afternoon making musical instruments for their Science lesson. Each child had the opportunity to make either a guitar or a harp to explore how the length, thickness or tightness of a string affects the pitch. #holytrinitystars

During science club this week, the students made their own volcanoes and mini lava lamps by mixing different ingredients to create a chemical reaction. They explored the reaction between milk, food colouring and washing up liquid and created some mini stained-glass decorations!

Art from our school (Class 1, Class 5 and Secondary) has been put on display in Carlton Church for this weekend. Huge thanks to everyone involved!

Class 5 have been investigating how their muscles work in science.

Here are some pictures of Class 8's Science today. They did a carousel of activities exploring the pitch of different equipment/instruments. They explored how to make a high pitch and a low pitch.

Pupils in the library have been completing jigsaws! We started ‘A Night at the Festivals’ when we started back in September looking for 101 bands. We finished it yesterday 🥳 We have just sorted out our new Disney jigsaw this morning ready for break and lunch times.

Our first science club of the academic year had a very colourful start. Our students conducted flame tests in order to identify the metal ions in the compounds they tested. We had some fun creating our own colourful "fireworks", using different compounds together.
