Y4 are researching particulate matter and air pollution today as part of Science Week. We read ‘Doffa’s Reindeer’ and discovered that the lichen was dying because the air was not as clean as they thought it was. We’re using Seesaw to record our research!

Before the end of half term, we held a beautiful service for the Crowning of Our Lady. The children reverently processed into church and presented Mary with their flowers. The eldest and youngest child in school crowned Our Lady with the help of Father Kieran. 🌹

We have been getting a little practise in before race day. Tomorrow, we take the Goblin car we’ve built to race at Croft Circuit race track. An early start but it will be a wonderful day for the Year 5 children. We are the first school in Bolton to participate.

This morning, Year 6 went to visit Hyde Lea care home to sing Christmas carols for the residents. The children made Christmas cards and handed them out to the residents. The children were also fed with chocolates, mince pies and a drink. Thank you, the children loved it. 🎶 🎄🥧
