We were told that we were not allowed to run free, small, community events, and that if they allow such things, EUIC would become one big community event. Traders are no longer allowed at EUIC or the excel either. Anyway give us a follow if you want to play in grassroots events

"EUIC would become one big community event." Correct. "The community" is the most common response when you ask people what they love about competitive Pokémon. What does stifling that achieve? I would love to eavesdrop on the meetings that determined community is bad.

@QuentinCTCG @HolonTower Community events are for the COMMUNITY to set up and run. You want a "trade room" for the scalpers? Rent out a hotel ball room and set it up yourself. You want to run an unofficial tournament? Do it on YOUR time.

It's worth mentioning that this was on Day 3 when the venue was at much lower capacity. We weren't taking up contested space, and had said space pointed out to us by a member of staff as a good place to host. If Day 2/3 at these events aren't community hubs, what's the point?

It’s so sad that Pokemon is doing this, a lot of the best times at those events are competing in a format you love with your friends… we need love for all eras of the game!
