#DigChester, Day 9, Annabel: Today was a little challenging as the sunshine has baked the soil rock solid. Ugi & I managed to find a possible Roman posthole & good progress was made on the Roman ditch. We had good tunes to get us through! 𧡠1/2 @cwacmuseums @uochester

#DigChester Day 7: Alex - today our group took our first 'levels', recording the height of a new layer full of slate before digging it. It layer produced our largest piece of pottery yet (of imported German stoneware), found by Casper, who's still on form! @cwacmuseums @uochester

@cwacmuseums @uochester 3/3 Kayleigh: Temperatures are high and so are discoveries. Ranging from pottery sherds, teeth and bones thereβs plenty to be uncovered this year. With plenty of music, laughs and snacks to keep us going the dig is a blast.
