A fantastic bit of public engagement yesterday evening by @j_sugden which I am proud to have contributed to as part of the research team. The talk focused on the impact of @SFoodbanks in the Liverpool city region and saw numerous stakeholders come together. #righttofood.
Thanks all for coming along and listening to our research on the impact and importance of the @SFoodbanks movement and sharing in the hopeful tragedy that is this work. We are in absolute awe of the many organisers and volunteers cheers @DavefcKelly @IanByrneMP @billyliar9 🍻🙏🫡.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to be able to spend time and be part of each pantry @SFoodbanks support. The work they do is remarkable and no piece of academic work would ever do this justice. Although, this from @j_sugden & @CJCFResearch gets pretty close to the mark!.
We are immensely proud of our work, our volunteers. The passion, commitment, compassion & empathy across our 6 Pantries, Matchday collections or the Breakfast club at the Mission. Many thanks to @j_sugden & the team JMU the enormity of what you do WOW !.

Glad to have been able to contribute to this analysis by @GregOK and @paddy_boyland on EFCs current finances. Take home messages from me are one of irony; astonishing wage to turnover; a commercial re-think needed.

Everton posted a £120m loss in their latest set of accounts but blame £103m of that on COVID-19. The Athletic analyse the financial figures
