The Nursery children have been extremely busy getting into the festive spirit! We launched the festivities with a trip to the Polka Theatre to see ‘The Snowy Day’ and then this week we entertained everyone with our own production of the Nativity story. @polkatheatre ❄️🎄

What phenomenal writers we have in Year One. We recently learnt about the features of a non chronological report when writing about gorillas, so put our amazing children to the test to apply these skills and write about giraffes. Dina really did a fabulous job, as did the others!

To mark the end of the topic ‘To Infinity and Beyond’, the children in Reception celebrated by having an ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ themed tea party. They used their phonics knowledge to write lists and decorated their own pants using their math knowledge of patterns.

As musicians, Year 4 had a marvellous experience learning about jazz music with the ‘Roots & Blues’ orchestra at the New Wimbledon Theatre. They played percussion instruments and joined in with the songs played. What a wondeful opportunity! #learninginactionwiththeprofessionals

Abracadabra...let the magic begin! The Friends of Hillcross organised a magical spectacular today and invited Amigo's Magic to perform two amazing shows at Hillcross after school. From coins being regurgitated to a rabbit appearing and even members of staff being cut in half!
