This is such a powerful picture! Um where do you buy a physical InStyle Magazine? I want this one in hard copy

So glad @votinggeek, audit expert Jennifer Morrell was there and is setting the record straight. Anyone have any idea where the “average” voter is on all of this?
From a true expert & leader @votinggeek re: #AZAudit: “Now a group with no expertise, improvising procedures as they go, is sowing doubt about the outcome of a well-run election. This is not an audit, and I don’t see how this can have a good outcome.”

Instead, it took a court order to get SOS observers inside the Coliseum for this so-called audit. I am beyond grateful that Ryan Macias, @votinggeek & @lizlhoward are sharing their expertise with our office so Arizonans will know what is happening to their ballots. 2/2

Needed now more than ever. Ideas on how we get there?
I often say that we should eliminate the notion of ‘them'. ‘We' should be enough; the whole world is part of ‘us'. This isn't some kind of old-fashioned way of thinking, or an altruistic forgetting of your own interests. I want happiness and in order to achieve that, I need you.

This a must read thread by @hill_charlotte that adds much needed information on voter turnout than that covered in NYT piece. Making voting easier helps voters participate, some reforms more tha others.
The idea that making voting easier *won't* improve turnout is one of political science's worst takes. (And to be clear, many political scientists don't buy it.) In this thread, I'll explain why. Buckle up.

This is a common theme in many states! It is so critical for lawmakers to discuss election policy proposals & changes w/ election officials & experts who have actually run elections. It is a technical process that is complex & multidimensional. #electiontwitter #policy
Talking to county elections officials, a common theme is frustration with PA lawmakers. There’s a real disconnect between many of the concrete, unsexy election administration changes they see as top priorities and the kinds of things they see lawmakers talk about.

Been a rough couple of days for #TheBigLie supporters. First, 22k hours of investigation by TX AG finds 16 cases of false addresses (NOT VOTER FRAUD). Today, the USG authoritatively debunks any election machine interference.

Bad news often gets more attention, but we hope to spread this good news far and wide: There are way more pro-voter bills across the country than proposals to limit voting. RT our latest Medium article and give good legislation the attention it deserves:

If you follow the news on voting access, the past few months can feel depressing. If you love the security and accessibility of mail…

As we teach children to observe physical hygiene for its health benefits, we need to teach them to cultivate emotional hygiene — to tackle destructive emotions and find peace of mind.

Earlier this month our CEO @AmberMcReynolds testified before the Georgia General Assembly on voter accessibility! She talked about the need to spread best practices for signature authentication so that no one gets left out. Check it out 👇

I'm so grateful to the KY House for voting 93-4 to pass arguably the most significant election reform measure in our history. Six months ago this outcome would not have been predicted. Let no one say that in these polarized times, leadership and consensus are not possible.

As the horrible images roll, I fear we are losing sight of the root of this violence: complete and total lack of trust in elections. That was the whole point of this. It won't be fixed until we refocus on *elections*.

Rick Barron - Fulton Co Election Director just shared that 12% of voters voted on Election Day in Nov 2020. That is exactly why GA had shorter lines. The solution to long lines is more voting options in advance of EDay including #voteathome & early voting. It’s just logic.

The last time I was here in 2017, Capitol police were escorting me to central booking for leading a non-violent protest of an immoral budget. This time they just had to show me to my office.

Love this- hope we all can get our Fauci Ouchie ASAP. I too will be adopting this when talking about the vaccine.
A 6-year old ballet student asked me today if I'm excited about getting my "Fauci Ouchie" soon, and I will now be referring to the covid-19 vaccine as only that, because it's the cutest thing ever.
