This year, Y13 further maths students worked with Mr Tuton to recreate the Highlands acorn logo using equations. Their 2D model featured at Open Evening and was later developed into a 3D version by Y12 students with support from alumni Nicholas. A 3D-printed model is now complete

We’re proud to share that a former Highlands A Level art student, Abbey, who achieved an A*, is now showcasing and selling her artwork locally in Winchmore Hill. A great success story and a proud moment for our school community! #alumni #artist

Willow House proudly hosted USA Cuisine Day in the last week of term, bringing a flavour of America to Highlands! Chartwells served up a delicious choice of a Philly cheese stack burger or a Smokey Joe crispy burger, both accompanied by chipotle wedges.

We’re delighted to share the fantastic news that Anna in Y7 has been accepted as an associate at the English National Ballet School following a successful audition process. Over the coming year, she will be studying ballet, character, and contemporary dance with the school.

77 year 10 students took part in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh training expedition in Epping Forest. The year 10s showed fantastic determination and perseverance throughout the expedition and are now preparing for their assessed expedition in September. Well done year 10!

Our Y12 Duke of Edinburgh Silver students completed their training expedition. They built on their Bronze-level skills and applied them to more challenging terrain. Their determination and resilience were clear throughout, and all students successfully passed the training

The Highlands School orchestra enjoyed an exciting trip to the Royal Academy of Music. They joined students from other London-based schools to form a large combined orchestra, spending the day rehearsing in instrumental family groups.

While Oak celebrated at Thorpe Park, students in Willow, Beech & Rowan enjoyed a fun-filled activity day at school. The day included quiz with Mr McInerney, creative design challenges, a variety of sporting activities and delicious ice cream. It was a great way to end the year.

The whole of Oak House had a fantastic time on their rewards trip to Thorpe Park after being crowned House Champions 2025. The day was filled with excitement and plenty of thrilling rides. It was a brilliant way to celebrate all their hard work & dedication throughout the year.

Our HPFA hosted a wonderful Welcome Festival to celebrate our current year 7 students and warmly greet the new year 7s & their families. The event was filled with fun, featuring games, food, and entertainment, all while raising valuable funds for our house charities and the HPFA.

Well done to Christina, Giulia, Lilah, Evie and Aaliyah for successfully completing their BSL (British Sign Language) Level 1, what a fantastic achievement! They’ve now received their official certificates and a number of them are working towards their Level 2. @SignatureDeaf

Students took part in inspiring Deaf Awareness assemblies led by Ms Jutila, our Teacher of the Deaf, alongside three of our amazing Deaf students, Aaliyah, Omyur and Liya. The students shared personal experiences of what it’s like to be Deaf using British Sign Language.

We’re proud to announce that Highlands has been featured as a case study on the new “Officially Amazing” platform launched by Amazing Apprenticeships to mark their 10-year anniversary. Our sixth form has been recognised for its dedication to supporting students. @AmazingAppsUK

As part of our Interfaith Day, year 10 students welcomed four speakers representing different world religions. Each shared personal reflections on the role of faith in their lives. They explored what their religion means to them and how it shapes their daily experiences.

This year, Highlands launched a Peer Mentoring Programme to support younger students with various aspects of school life. Students Isaac, Stephanie, Gracie, Joseph, Michael, Charlotte, Suleyman, Du, Yagmur and Francesca successfully completed their training, well done to you all.
