Mum has had 2020's kits and is now in need of some feeding up... so she sits and waits at our door for an egg, or lump of cheese. Bertie dog furious of course. (You may have to click on the image to see all of it).
This is what delivery drivers see when they arrive here. An utterly hopeless guard dog (thank goodness). Tesco drivers apparently say they're 'off to see Bertie today'.
On the 13th December 2018 (5 years ago today) I saw the most extraordinary sunrise of my life. Others that saw it agreed that they'd never seen the like. Worth posting here again methinks. Fire in the sky!

PM saying 'Don't panic buy' reminds me of when a teacher once said 'I'm stepping out for a few minutes, on no account should anyone one look into this box'. The box was empty of course, and the teacher came back and just said 'And that is what's called human nature'.
A chap from Holland e-mailed me asking where I had taken a photo, and what was the hill called. I e-mailed him back with the information. He then flew to Scotland, climbed the hill, took this photo and e-mailed it to me. How cool is that?!
This is Callum (aka Colin). Unlike every other deer around here, who spend their days wandering the hills foraging for food, he just stands in a car park and waits for tourists to feed him. He's been there for years, so it's obviously working for him.
I've just read that Achmelvich has been listed alongside beaches from Mauritius, Thailand and Hawaii in the World’s 50 Best Beaches list. Personally, I prefer this one, which is a short walk up the coast and usually empty:
