“Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” We spent Friday morning tracking animals & developing mapping skills, then warmed up with a campfire lunch & built debris huts for shelter. Thanks to Sharon @OutdoorEdKPR for a wonderful day in the rain!

Friday was a bittersweet day as we bid farewell to Mr. Hobbins as he begins his new adventure as Chief Custodian at a new school. We wish him the very best and will miss seeing his smiling face at the end of each day. We celebrated his accomplishment with a school “clap in”.

Such innovative thinking from our Junior students!.
Gr. 5/6 students were challenged to create a system that contained at least 3 components & had a specific function. With just 15 min. & some loose parts, they created a water filtration system, a telephone system, a catapult system, & more! #STEMRocks #ScienceRules @HighlandHtsPS

Grade 5/6 students set their intentions for the new year by taking on the #OneWordChallenge: one word to help guide us through 2024. After some valuable discussions and writing, we made bracelets to wear to remind us of our words. #NewYear2024
