HHN 1996 brought the first iteration of the Festival of the Dead Parade to the event! Led by The Cryptkeeper, this parade had floats themed to the Hindu goddess Kali, vampires, voodoo, and cemeteries. Scareactors on the floats would throw beads and coins at the guests!

One of the coolest attractions at HHN 1995 was the Knights of Hell show, the very first lagoon show created for HHN. The show would have a giant 45x90 foot water screen featuring The Demon Knight, boats driving across the lagoon, and a giant statue rising from the water!

In 1994, a large tent was built around The Boneyard (an area of the park where the Music Plaza is now) to build The Boneyard house. This house took guests through a Victorian insane asylum, where nurses and mad scientists performed sadistic experiments on patients!

Check out this awesome spec map made by Alex M. Bush! I've made my own for Orlando using the same template he used. Keep in mind this is not an "official" spec map from HNN and is purely my just-for-fun guesses as to what is coming based on public rumors and codenames!
Happy Grinchmas! Have a 𝑾𝒉𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑱𝒖𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈, gift from me to you! As whispers pass, and moments last, I impart a special gift from me to you--a early speculation map for 𝙃𝙃𝙉 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙙 + 𝙃𝙃𝙉 𝙊𝙧𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤~! #UniversalHHN #HHN35 #HHN2026

The Psycho Path Maze was a house from 1993 and 1994 that took guests through the iconic 1960 film, Psycho! Guests would go through various scenes in the Bates House and Motel, culminating in the famous shower scene. Bruce Campbell and Sinbad even visited the house in the 90s!

The Slaughterhouse and Hell's Kitchen were two gory haunted houses featured in 1993 and 1994. Located in Nazarman's, not much is known about these two haunted houses. The houses smelled of rotting meat, and they were so hot that some of the makeup on the actor's faces melted!

The People Under the Stairs was the first IP haunted house in HHN history! This house was insane, with scareactors throwing fake blood at guests that would stain their clothes, allegedly real shotguns, and (in 1993) a man covered in large hissing cockroaches!

1992 also brought us Robosaurus, one of the most insane shows HHN has ever done at the event. It is something they can never do again. This 30 ton robot would roll around the New York area of the park, crushing cars and spewing fire. In 1994 it even battled the Ghostbusters!

33 years ago, Halloween Horror Nights II was held, featuring the first ever Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure show. The show would become a yearly tradition until 2017, where it would be replaced. Do any of you hope for its return someday?
