My food hot take is that the authenticity of a restaurant is irrelevant to how good it is.

Boom just repurposed its supersonic engine core into a waterless turbine that holds full power at 115°F. And Crusoe ordered 29 to run Stargate. The tech meant to bring back Mach 1.7 flight is now powering desert GPUs. One of the wildest pivots I’ve seen.

Trashing Apple for using a Google model is idiotic. It’s like licensing ARM’s instruction set. Why burn billions training their own weights when they can leverage proven ones for less? Models will commoditize faster than chips too, so its not a huge risk either.

New growth hack. Buy out the mod accounts for the subreddit niche that your app is in. Then self preference your app.

Its infuriating that every time I ask an LLM about iOS 26, it automatically assumes its a typo.

Why does everyone assume Beta 3 is any more likely to be the final version than Beta 1

Every new hot app is either an LLM wrapper or a database wrapper. And honestly? That’s fine. Just give me a clean UI, a login button, and something mildly useful.

Buy a week of Apple Search Ads on a term before adding it to your metadata. If taps are under 1%, skip the keyword.

Most users search the App Store once. Miss the keyword, miss the download. I see so many indie devs completely ignore ASO, and it is painful to watch.

A paywall that never nags is just silent mode for your revenue. Don't be overly precious about "respecting the user".

Push notifications are basically the second date. Send a wall of text on the first night and you’ll never see them again.

In 1945, nuclear testing contaminated global steel production, forcing scientists to salvage pre-war shipwrecks for radiation-free metal. In 2025, we’re hoarding pre-2022 data to avoid contamination from AI. Progress means always searching for uncontaminated scraps of the past.

Has anyone else had issues in the new ios 26 with their sheet modal presentations? It seems like the view that is being covered is no longer shrinking down. Is this an intentional change by Apple, or am I missing something?

If you have a tech podcast and are reporting on the Apple event, but you didn’t actually watch the event, then you are bad at your job.
