The short break has allowed us to complete some drainage work on the course. This work is done most years continuing to improve the Racecourse drainage! . Whilst completing the work we found some clay pipes dated 1852 that were still flowing!

Starting at our next race meeting on Wednesday 27th August you will see One-Fit Padded Hurdles at Hexham!. This is part of British Racing’s commitment to replace all traditional birch hurdles with One-Fit Padded Hurdles. The pads arrived today so the team will be busy building

One of the shining lights of our sport is National Racehorse Week, which this year is 23rd-31st August. An annual celebration of the racehorse where you can see first-hand the love, care and attention that goes into looking after them, and most visits are free to attend!
