I spent most all day with my dad in a hospital/clinic for day surgery. He had a scope to see how his plumbing was working. I told him he needed to go to a hardware store for a second opinion.

When I see red wasps living in metal gates and thriving I wonder do these creatures come from the third level of hell. Because in the summer some of these gates will burn the hand to touch them much less comfortably living in them.

In many cases, I don't get up early on the weekends and don't have an opportunity to get out on the farm much through the week due to other obligations, so I forget how peaceful it is early in the day on the farm.

Working on a side by side that was gifted to me and I believe this will be a process. It does not run, so I am starting with known problems. Replaced the battery and the fuel pump. So far I can get it to turn over, but it doesn't want to start.

I am not certain if you can distinguish the Spruce from the other trees, but there are still three in this area about half that were planted as saplings. My dad and I planted these trees when I was an early teenager. I find that as I get older these little things mean more to me.

Last field cut until fall run; 6 bales for 4 1/2 acres. Maybe next year I can lime and fertilizer. I am hopeful to start foliar spraying. This is a field the cattle do not have access to.

What I thought was going to be maybe a half hour job turned into about an hour and a half. Replacing axle bearings should not have to take that long, but it is completed now and the field is raked.
