Different to the usual public speaking I do but speaking about experiences of horticulture in palliative care with my Mum from day hospice right through to end of life.Challenging but important to me that other practitioners can learn from the wonderful care&memories we had/have.

This is such a good post by @ParalympicsGB showing @ClarkieGB7 going about his daily life as a disabled person and how someone with a visual impairment can be just as able as anyone else in the workplace with the correct adaptations. A good learning lesson for many! @IDDP @IDPwD

I can not believe we lit the @Paralympics flame & then the first torch to give to @parsonsandrew 3 weeks ago! I have been privileged to have had seen the Games through a different role&lens at each Games since competing in Beijing 2008. @Paris2024 has been incredible,bring on LA!

This is the end of an important thread on everyday life using public transport when disabled in UK.We must make sure this doesn’t become a barrier to employability&disabled people’s ability to climb the ladder in London centric HQs. Plus,remote working options is still needed!
Finally home safe and sound. Expected journey time: 90mins. Actual journey time: 4hrs. I hope sharing this experience is helpful. It also explains why I don’t intend to get a train in a while. I’m not a Paralympian, but sometimes trying to negotiate everyday life is a big event!
