I cannot express how this has wrenched into the heart of my family. Its their heritage. I have grandsons who will never see something that is part of their Northumberland history. Devastated for so many unfathomable reasons. #notjustatree
Officers have condemned the vandalism of an iconic #Northumberland tree and vowed to bring anyone responsible to justice. A full investigation has been launched after the Sycamore Gap Tree was felled overnight in what police believe to be a deliberate act of vandalism. (1/3)
