Reduced rates of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) will apply for residential properties purchased from 8 July 2020 until 30 June 2021 and from 1 July 2021 to 30 September 2021 inclusive.
Fantastic news for home buyers including those trying to get on the property market. No SDLT payable on purchases up to £500,000 until 31 March 2021. A massive help!

From today until 31 March 2021, buyers will pay no Stamp Duty on the first £500k when they move home. Nearly 9 out of 10 people getting on or moving up the property ladder will pay no Stamp Duty at all.
