🎃 Happy Halloween🦔✨ A little reminder for all our hedgehog friends: once the spooky fun is over, please dispose of pumpkins properly 🍂 Hedgehogs find them tempting to nibble on, but eating pumpkins can give them upset tummies and make them unwell. #HedgehogHighway

The sunny weather is perfect for playing football in the garden! Just a quick reminder, after using football nets or any garden netting, please lift them off the ground. At night, curious hedgehogs can get tangled and trapped, often ending up injured or in distress.

Hedgehogs can swim, but they can’t swim forever. They are surprisingly good swimmers, but if they fall into a pond without an exit, they can quickly become trapped and drown from exhaustion. If you have a pond, adding a simple ramp or gentle slope could save a hedgehog’s life 💙

This #HedgehogAwarenessWeek we wanted to do something special for a local charity. Thanks to funds raised through sales of the #HedgehogHighway, we’ve donated £1,000 to Castleford Hedgehog Rescue.
