I don’t really believe in LLM psychosis. I think LLMs mostly just have a lot to offer to people experiencing regular psychosis.

If I could send my 18 year old self a message, it would have three parts: 1. Prestige is often mistaken. Follow curiosity instead. 2. There's no way to avoid hard work. It's not sufficient, but it is necessary. 3. Don't take your parents for granted.

A bunch of very smart security nerds (and, along for the ride, me) are standing up a conference about AI/security (the intersection of those ideas, not just the security of AI). https://t.co/R82QCfJZTe

Since I have graduated and need to travel around, I cannot carry my books with me I’m willing to ship it to anyone living in the US. If something here grabs your eye, I can send you a nice copy if you’re down to pay for shipping

Most "LLM-friendly" patterns are just good engineering practices we were too stubborn to adopt.

Hate to say it, but the functional programmers were right. LLMs love code with explicit inputs/outputs and no side effects.

“How did people do this before AI???” We’re witnessing learned helplessness on a global scale, and you’re not ready for the consequences.

It takes ~50 hours to beat a good RPG videogame, say, Hollow Knight or Legend of Zelda BOTW. It takes ~200 hours to read CLRS and understand a fair amount of it decently. So, if you just gave up 4 videogames and read CLRS instead, you could teach yourself algorithms
