When your home sick the best medicine is cat snuggles. Gizmo has been checking in on and off throughout the day between naps in the hedge

I have only had 2 days off sick this academic year [1 for vomit bug and 1 for a migraine] and yet feel I am being a burden if I take another sick day.

When I think about not going in tomorrow to make sure I am well my brain starts with: ."There isn't enough cover with the trips out tomorrow" ."I can't afford to lose the lessons with year 9" ."What could I possibly set for cover?"."I have duty and promised to help at lunch".

Oh the TEacher guilt. Today is my day off and I have been ill with a stinking cold that has taken my voice and I was unaware my body could produce so much snot. I have spent the day coughing, sneezing, sleeping and reading either in bed or on the sofa. [1]
