New federal commitments announced today to support tribal drinking water access! The MOU between IHS and BOR is exactly the whole of govt action needed to deploy funding efficiently and finally get water projects built for those who need it most. https://t.co/DTPYfnldwQ

Happy National Navajo Code Talkers Day! Today I honor my uncles, Albert and George Smith for their service as WWII code talkers. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you’ll pause to learn more about these warriors and how they fought to protect this homeland for us all.

Post-Brackeen high is over. Disappointing Arizona v Navajo Nation decision is out. The federal govt is not required “to take affirmative steps to secure water for the Tribe.” Is the trust relationship meaningless?
