4. Fans are no longer consuming media to enjoy it. They are watching to have a reactionary opinion of "good" or "bad". Curiosity and escapism or even enjoyment don't seem to be a part of some people's viewing experience anymore. And that's sad.

1. Many viewers simply are unable to separate their sometimes DECADES-baked expectations from what actually makes sense from a story/production/greater universe standpoint. 2. Fans have lost patience and would rather a 5 minute YouTube video or Wiki article instead of story.
