✅ The Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign has been launched

🇦🇲🤝🇪🇪 Today in Yerevan, the e-Dialogue: Estonia–Armenia workshop was held, organized by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the Information Systems Agency of Armenia. Petra Holm from the e-Estonia Briefing Centre shared Estonia’s world-leading experience in digital governance

✅️The campaign is designed to promote safe and responsible behavior in the online environment. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and Information Systems Agency of Armenia.

I touched upon key topics such as cybersecurity, data protection, AI applications, deepfakes, and disinformation. Together with digital security expert Samvel Martirosyan, we held a Q&A discussion, while experts from AM-CERT presented the core principles of digital hygiene.

📢 The campaign aims to raise awareness about cybersecurity among students, teachers, and parents. 🔸️Today’s event gathered around 300 participants.

The lesson from countries like Armenia, Brazil,Indonesia,Chile & South Africa is clear:Governments need to lower barriers for those willing to pursue the next breakthrough.When policy makes risk-taking easier, capital flows faster, talent gathers and entire ecosystems accelerate.

The 21st century economic race will be won by those that design the most fertile environments for innovation to thrive. In this new reality,tax codes & incentive frameworks are no longer technical details of fiscal policy but,rather,front-line instruments of industrial strategy.

🇦🇲🤝🇦🇷 I met with H.E. Rafael Enrique González Alemán, Ambassador of Argentina to Armenia. We discussed strengthening cooperation in high tech, focusing on AI, cybersecurity, and space, areas where Armenia is rapidly growing its innovation potential.

Other models: 🇧🇷 Brazil’s Lei do Bem, 🇮🇩 Indonesia’s 300% “super-deduction”, 🇿🇦 South Africa’s 150% R&D incentive, 🇨🇱 Chile’s 35% R&D credit. 💡 The lesson is simple: when policy lowers risk, capital flows faster, talent gathers, and innovation accelerates.

In August 2025, the U.S. and Armenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding an AI and Semiconductor Innovation Partnership, signaling a critical step toward boosting Armenia's AI potential.

Armenia: • 60% income tax reimbursement for hiring skilled migrant workers and new professionals • 50% income tax reimbursement for investing in training • Turnover tax for small tech firms cut from 5% to 1% • R&D income tax halved to 10%, with 200% salary deductions

📌 The cyber threats we face today are far more complex and large-scale than those of yesterday. Therefore, Armenia must strengthen its digital resilience through institutional reforms, international partnerships, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.

✅ The initiative aims to raise Armenia’s cybersecurity awareness and preparedness, while also supporting the upcoming legislative initiatives on the Cybersecurity Law.

🤝 In conclusion, I underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation with international partners - particularly the ITU and regional organizations - to further enhance cybersecurity readiness and response capabilities.

I noted that Armenia aspires to be part of an open and collaborative ecosystem, where information sharing, threat assessment, and joint response exercises contribute to collective resilience.

I presented the reforms initiated by the government, aimed at establishing coordinated responsibilities between public and private entities, unified security standards, and efficient response mechanisms - ensuring a cohesive and effective cybersecurity governance framework.
