Tomorrow is May 5th.
I hate May 5th.
It’s been 12 years…
I’m proud of the USMC photo of my dad, but, honestly, that’s not the dad I knew—That photo was taken over a decade before I was born.
The dad I knew left for work, like clockwork at 5am, and always managed to…

Ross, I can’t even explain how this hit me. It’s only been 17 months for me and his birthday was Monday! I always said if I could be half as good a parent as my dad was then I’ll be a success. We were so lucky weren’t we? ❤️🙏🏻

That ☝ is beautiful!
April 23, for me. The day I lost my best friend.
I believe the spirit of your dad is bursting with pride. Not only are you great at it, but you acquired your dream. Not many people can do that.

I’d never driven more than 2 hours or so out of Schenectady. A 14-16 hour drive to the coast of NC was exciting. He knew the drive because he had been stationed at Camp Lejeune.

My day to hate is April 25. It has only been four years for me but I understand how you can still feel the same after 12 years. My thoughts go out to you & your family.

Sounds like quite the awesome guy, and it shows in you. you're very lucky, sorry for your loss. My grandpa was a similar kind of man, it's always hard when the great ones go.
