Yesterday on #MHD24 , we embarked on a 2-in-1 sensitization. First was for the Girls of the @YouthHarvestFGH's Girls' Remedial School and then proceeded to the Aguusi Junior High School in Sumbrungu, where we donated a few boxes of pads, after sensitization. #PeriodFriendlyWorld

Just like we do every year with sponsorship from @YouthHarvestFGH we will be in Aguusi Junior High School for the commemoration of #MHD2024. Our team of volunteers will educate both boys and girls on Menstruation. Together we can ensure a #PeriodFriendlyWorld

In a village where i once taught, I encountered boys who referred to menstruating girls as “nasty” and feel they are “unclean”.

These girls were not allowed to fetch from the stream where they drank from because the community and its leaders believed same. We really can’t emphasize this enough. #Aperiodfriendlyworld is what we ask for and our boys are not left out. Let’s keep them in the conversation.
