This week, Kestrel class have taken part in their bikeability. The instructors have fed back a glowing report of what a credit they are to our school, they have been polite and listened to instructions. Well done Kestrels, we are all very proud of you! 📷 @HartestPrimary

Kestrel's have spent the day baking bread to see how the carbon dioxide gas causes the bread to rise and making yogurt to investigate the bacteria in it. The school has smelt delicious from their baking and they have enjoyed tasting the warm bread fresh from the oven 🍞

@HartestKestrel got to enjoy a rather wet and muddy Forest School this afternoon. They have made bird feeders, weaved willow and had a game of 'beetles'. 'I loved rolling in the mud like a pig' said Vivi 📷 'I really enjoyed making a den with Brei' Freddy told me.

Freddy's metal detecting haul: Half hammered coin from King John, the tiny ones are Roman minim coins and the close up photo is of Two brothers of Augustus fighting to the death to see who will become King. Thank you Freddy for sharing your knowledge so eloquently @HartestPrimary

Kestrels and @HartestSquirrel spent the afternoon together making cards for Mother's Day (don't worry we've blurred out the designs!). Spot the one mum-believably excited! @HartestPrimary

We have been looking at @GoldsworthyAndy and his natural pieces of artwork. They have created their own pieces using what nature provides on the field. "When the sun shines down you can really see how beautiful nature is, that is why this is the shape of the sun" said Vivi
