Steel Pans! Made to make up for the absence of tamboo-bamboos, which made up for the ban of Talking Drums. Caribbeans had no access to or could not afford western instruments at the time so they improvised with hammers and metal that once stored oil! 📷 Trinidad All Steel Band

Sun,May 14 Membership is free, open to musicians aged 12-26 and there are no auditions. Players of non-Western instruments are especially welcome. The Youth Orchestra (GUYO) meets on the second Sunday of the month from 10am – 1.30pm. #jazzuk #youth #youngmusicians #freeworkshop
