HCSO Investigators are actively investigating a shooting on Bunnlevel Erwin Road in the Riverside community. One person has been shot and transported to an area hospital.

The Harnett County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting of 23 yoa Daniel Andre Williams that occurred in the early this morning. Williams was shot while driving down Sandefer Rd in the Bunnlevel community. Williams is in critical condition at an area hospital.

A warrant for murder has been obtained on Jeffrey Myers Lacortiglia, age 43. Mr Lacortiglia is in the custody of Hamilton Township Police. No further information will be released at this time.

On April 30, 2023, 12:21 PM, Harnett County deputies responded to 152 Swain St, Spring Lake on a well being check based on information receive from Hamilton Township Police in Ohio. Deputies located Blanca Lacortiglia, age 37, deceased in the residence.

Investigators are on scene at Elmon Gilchrist Ln, Erwin where an adult male was found deceased with an apparent gunshot wound. There is no threat to the community as the shooter has been identified and is being questioned at this time. Identification is pending NOK. notification.

The two deputies involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure in such incidents. The State Bureau of Investigations is investigating.

Deputies located the armed man in the area of the Dollar General. Attempts to deescalate the situation were unsuccessful and ultimately led to an officer involved shooting. Curtis Roy Young W/M age 40 of Cameron was transported to Womack Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

{Officer Involved Shooting}.On 6/09/22 at 00:28 hours, the Harnett County 911 center received an emergency call from family members of an individual armed with a rifle walking down Hwy. 27 West in the Johnsonville area, suffering from a mental episode.

Shooting Incident . Area of Josey Williams Rd and Linda Baucom Ln an adult male has been shot. Investigator’s are on scene. Shooter is believed to be known by the victim. Victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

[Update Shooting Incident].4-7-22 2:10pm Investigators have concluded this to be a domestic disturbance where Jeffrey Scott Kelly age 26 was shot. He is currently hospitalized in stable condition. Sarah Ann Lovett age 40 is in custody.

[Shooting Incident] .An adult male has been shot at 275 Hicks Rd Broadway and has been transported to an area hospital. Investigators are on scene where a suspect has been named and is known to the victim.

Update.The victim has been identified as Ryan Whitcomb age 29 and shooter as Brian Dunlap age 47. Dunlap is in custody on an unrelated drug charge. Whitcomb is now at UNC Chapel Hill in surgery. The shooting is still under investigation.
